Trains

Trying to write on the train isn’t easy. You have to time your words to the wobble and jerk. Crossings mean a bumpier ride. We went through very quick this time, kinda like blinking and we’re there.

It looks like we can make the 8:05, provided D’s train is on time. I don’t know if we’re stopping or not. We’re 3 minutes out of Glenview.

Staying in Chicago overnight depends on D, whether she wants to or not. We’ll have to call N and tell her to be at the station at 9:30 then.

Part of me wants to stay in Chicago, do something different for a change. However, at this point, we can’t really afford it.

Any train after dark is pretty boring, not much to see unless you’re in a city. We’re in Glenview, and there’s a sign saying Union Station is having mechanical problems, and all trains leaving maybe 15 minutes late. I wonder if that was the trouble on December 23rd.

I got bad news from the owner of Planet Bead. All of MATC’s jewelry classes have been cancelled. They will not be offering it any more. This hasn’t really sunk into my brain yet, but it is a blow for our learning options. Maybe we’ll do GIA or schools in NC or FL.
